Welcome to LiveWise Associates, where Augustine Jatoe MSW, RSW, a compassionate and experienced professional, is ready to support you and your loved ones on your healing journey. With over 20 years of expertise as a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, Augustine brings a unique blend of knowledge, skills, and cultural understanding to his practice.
Augustine is not only a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCPT), but he also specializes in working with BIPOC children, teens, and men who have been impacted by adverse childhood experiences and racialized trauma. His deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals from diverse backgrounds allows him to provide tailored support that is sensitive to their unique needs and experiences.
Drawing on his ancestral roots, Augustine’s healing journey began early in life as he observed the remarkable work of his paternal grandmother, a traditional healer and soothsayer from his father’s village in Upper West Ghana. This heritage instilled in him a natural inclination towards healing and a profound respect for traditional practices, which he integrates into his therapeutic approach.
Augustine’s dedication to helping others extends beyond his individual practice. He is also a sought-after clinical supervisor, having completed the AAMFT(OAMFT) 30-hour supervision course, and an approved clinical supervisor for the Master of Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University. Through these roles, he shares his wisdom and expertise with aspiring therapists, contributing to the growth and development of the counseling profession.
At LiveWise Associates, Augustine Jatoe MSW, RSW creates a safe and supportive space for individuals, couples, and families to heal and grow. Whether you are seeking trauma-informed therapy, support for racialized trauma, or assistance in navigating life’s challenges, Augustine’s compassionate approach and specialized expertise are here for you.
