I have discovered through creative self-exploration, we are able to deepen our awareness, understanding, and compassion for ourselves and ultimately experience healing. I believe that we are the experts of ourselves, and I am here to create a calm, safe space to collaboratively support you in discovering your wisdom.
I’m committed to anti-racism, anti-oppression and have experience supporting BIPOC mental health including refugees and newcomers, while embodying cultural humility. I am also interested in supporting children, teens, and adults navigating varying challenges such as grief, loss, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and the impacts of trauma.
I value community care in combination with creativity and healing as part of integrating non-Western ideas of care with evidence-based therapeutic modalities. I have pursued my graduate thesis in exploring how cultural artistic traditions can support individuals and communities in decolonization and reclaiming identity.
I have completed the graduate diploma in Art Therapy/Art Psychotherapy from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute as well as the Online Diploma in Islamic Psychology from Cambridge Muslim College. These trainings lead me to provide care based in heart and soul, inviting you to connect inwards on a deeper level.
Seeking therapy can be a big step for many individuals for reasons such as judgment, stereotypes, and fear. However, I believe in the therapeutic process and will always co-work with you to support you with your emotions.
I provide services in-person and can support clients in English and Urdu/Hindi.
